Alanah & Morgan

I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding of a friend who married on what was so far the hottest day of the year! Although the sun was beaming with 24° in heat, both Alanah and Morgan didn’t even break a sweat!

Now, I’d like to say that the ceremony went off without a hitch, but the bride and groom would say otherwise when it came to the registrar announcing Alanah’s name, and Morgans surname incorrectly. But, it seemed to ease the nerves at the ‘alter’ and Alanah and Morgan would giggle with the registrar when she tried during the vows.

The venue was the beautiful DeCourceys, located in the peaceful lanes of Pentyrch, where both the ceremony and reception was held. This was a first time for me to photograph at this venue, and fortunately I have another wedding here in just 4 weeks time. It was surrounded by trees and beautiful gardens.. any photographers dream wedding venue! Inside this stunning venue, had a room to suit all! At the front of the venue was the dance room, where the cake, the band and the DJ played a big part with the presentation. An Oriental room where many guests went for a peaceful catch up, and just in the next room.. a photo booth!

I have never seen table centerpieces quite like the ones that Alanah had chosen. The China Library presented their vintage china all over the venue! From old beaten books, to old record players.

With a new venue, beautiful weather and friendly faces, I am very much looking forward to completing these wedding photographs.
